Chapter 482

Chapter 482

Exiting the Tower after he had eked out the maximum gains he could in two weeks was a bittersweet affair. He had spent as much time using the cores as he could, relying n the others to provide him the cores he would need on the outside. In the meantime, his job – beyond clearing the quests – was making sure he breached the second threshold and improve his overall status.

The results, just before he exited were rather impressive. Even if he did say so himself.

Crossing off and learning a bunch of techniques was amazing, especially considering they were powerful and useful techniques. He figured he was done for the time being, no longer requiring to add to his plethora of methodologies. Expanding on what he had now and improving on those techniques, or swapping out for better techniques in the far future was where his future now lay.

Some of the techniques might require further consideration, things like his Pocket Simpanan Tua. He could now store two discrete techniques within, but what he had found was that sometechniques were just better than others. For example, his Energy Darts were discreet packages that required little additional work. Store them, release them, they degraded very little.

Focused Strike on the other hand required a focus, a point of control and direction. Packaging it away was viable, but it broke down extremely fast and eventually had to be released or otherwise it would damage him. Other full body techniques were worse, since if he could not control them and continue feeding them energy – like his Heavenly Sage’s Mischief – it broke down almost immediately.

There was no point to keeping such techniques stored away, at least not till he had upgraded his simultaneous flow again. Then, he had started keeping the full body boost within, picking it up with his third flow and basically could empower it before it faded.

On top of that upgrade, he had slightly better mobility with Seven Clouds regularly forming a third cloud without a problem. Finally, Shadow Sense was active at last, allowing him to notice and see deeper into the dark and feel the areas around him that were in the dark. Brighter and lighter areas showed up starkly to him, but also individuals and the shapes in the dark that they were made of.

It all meant that he had – amusingly – had a major upgrade at the end of the Tower, after he needed it. Or, well, not really needed since he could pass the Tower itself with less trouble than before. Arthur knew that would be the same for the next couple of Towers, the bigger problem being the politics of making his way over to a new country and establishing himself and his Clan there.

Such buildings were likely to be minimally utilized. In fact, Arthur wasn’t certain he would be allowed to even establish a building in such Towers – restricted, not so much by the Tower but the human politics involved.

A problem for future Arthur, he knew; but one that would rear its head in months.

Still, that wasn’t the most exciting thing to happen to him in this Tower. That cam from the passing through to the next threshold.

Finally.
